The OMI Pulsepad is a quite basic PEMF pad which, unlike any of the other pads in this article, is powered by 3 AAA batteries. It is the smallest pad I have tested, measuring just 7.1” x 10.6” (18 x 27 cm). It is extremely lightweight, at 0.49 lb (0.22 kg).

While there is no carrying bag included in the package, this pad has great portability and can be used anywhere, as long as you have some batteries.

Unfortunately the PEMF capabilities are quite limited. The frequency cannot be adjusted, and it is fixed at 8 Hz. This makes it less than ideal to treat conditions that require a frequency higher than that.

Functions:

There are no preset programs, all you can do is press the on/off button. But that can be good enough in most cases.

Warranty:

OMI offers a 3 year warranty which is pretty good. There is no mention of a money back guarantee, so you’d have to rely on the normal return policy in case you change your mind about your purchase.

The OMI Pulsepad is priced at $235. While this is lower that most of the other pads, it is probably still too expensive if you consider its limited capabilities.

The HealthyLine TAO Matrix Pad deserve a special mention. It’s basically an upgraded version of the TAJ pad that we have reviewed earlier. It has everything that the TAJ has: features, warranty and everything. Below is a short list of what differentiate the TAO from the TAJ:

• It’s a bit smaller, measuring 18”x18” instead of 20” x 20”
• It’s lighter, weighing 5 lbs (2.2 kg) instead of 5,9 lbs (2,7 kg)
• Contains 0.25 lb of obsidian gemstones (which the TAJ does not)
• It is soft and flexible, whereas the Taj is more stiff
• Has the Matrix Photon Light Panel

Unfortunately, there’s one major difference compared to the TAJ: the price. The TAO pad costs $485.95, nearly double the price. While it’s lighter (though also smaller) and more flexible than the TAJ, the biggest upgrade is the Matrix Photon Light Panel, which offers superior red light therapy and can deliver focused treatment for arthritis. It’s a great addition for those who prioritize enhanced light therapy, but I’m not convinced the steep price increase is fully justified by these improvements.

That said, if you’re looking for the absolute best and price is no concern, this is undoubtedly the best PEMF pad you can get!

The OMI PEMF Minimat is a good PEMF unit, boasting a remarkable frequency range of up to 99 Hz. In this aspect, it ranks just behind the OmniPEMF NeoRhythm.

Same as its smaller brother (the OMI Pulsepad) is has a rectangular shape, but it’s quite bigger, measuring 24” x 16” (60 x 40 cm). Considering its PEMF capabilities, it’s still very lightweight (2 lbs), but unlike its smaller brother, the Minimat is A/C powered, so its portability is limited to home/office use.

Functions:

The OMI PEMF Minimat has 3 preset programs:

• P1 – The frequency gradually increases from 3 Hz to 38 Hz and then drops back
• P2 – The frequency continually and randomly changes between 1-99 Hz
• P3 – You can set your own frequency

Preset programs are always good to have, but honestly I find the first two presets quite useless. The third one is what you will probably use, even though that’s not really a program. But being able to set your desired frequency is an essential feature.

Warranty:
