Welcome to my review of the Grooni Earthing PEMF + Red-Light Therapy Mat! Some PEMF mats try to be everything to everyone. The Grooni Earthing Mat? It doesn’t pretend to be revolutionary – it just aims to check all the right boxes without breaking the bank.
What caught my attention was the combination of 108 full-sized tourmaline gemstones and 36 red light LEDs packed into a surprisingly affordable package. Plus, being able to switch between sine and square waveforms is pretty unique at this price point.
After testing it, I found exactly what I expected: a solid, no-nonsense mat that delivers good value without any standout features.

PEMF Therapy Overview 
The Grooni Earthing PEMF Mat comes with 6 PEMF coils, a max intensity of 3 Gauss, and a frequency range of 3–50 Hz. One drawback for me is that it doesn’t go down to 1 Hz like many other mats. Those ultra-low frequencies can be helpful for promoting deep sleep.
Other Therapies 
Far-Infrared Rays Therapy (FIR). This gentle, non-invasive therapy uses far-infrared light (5–14 μm), an invisible wavelength that slowly warms up the gemstones and the mat. That heat then penetrates deep into your body, creating a sense of internal warmth.
Negative Ion Therapy. When the gemstones heat up, they start releasing negative ions, which may help with detox and boost the air quality around you. That said, Grooni doesn’t specify how many negative ions their PEMF mat actually produces.
Red Light Therapy (36 LEDs). Red light therapy isn’t the same as far-infrared—it uses visible red light at a 0.66 μm wavelength. Unlike FIR, it doesn’t generate heat but goes through the skin to spark cellular activity and support healthy tissue function.
Hot Stones Therapy. The Grooni PEMF Mat includes finely crushed amethyst and onyx stones that have a sand-like texture. On top of that, it’s packed with 108 full-sized tourmaline gemstones.

Good Value for Money
The Grooni Earthing PEMF Mat is an affordable choice that provides everything you need without being too heavy on your wallet. This mat doesn’t really excels at anything in particular, but it checks all the boxes. It has a nice design and the addition of the tourmaline full-sized gemstones is a big plus. Overall, the value for money is pretty good. Solid choice.
