Welcome to my review of the PetsPEMF PetLoop PRO for pets. PetLoop PRO is a unique U-shaped, wearable PEMF device designed for pets. It’s available in two specialized models: Harmony for the nervous system, calmness and anxiety, and Recovery, to accelerate healing and help with pain or discomfort.

There are no settings to pick, no Bluetooth to connect, no WiFi to have. You just charge it, wrap it on your pet, and double-tap to start. This makes it extremely easy to use. Maybe too much: I’d have really preferred if they managed to put both versions into one device. You get a discount if you buy both, but it’s not ideal.

PetsPEMF PetLoop Pro Specs and Features

Reading the Spec Sheet

15.2-50.6HzPEMF Frequency Range

The PEMF frequency is how many times per second the magnetic field pulses, and it’s measured in hertz. The PetLoop Pro has a range that’s wide enough to cover every treatment and condition your pet might need.

25GaussPEMF Intensity

This is a medium intensity which is safe for your dog or cat to use, without sacrificing effectiveness.

5PEMF Coils

A coil is a winding of copper wire inside the device, and it’s what produces the magnetic field. 5 coils help to achieve a better distribution of the PEMF signal.

TrapezoidalWaveform

The waveform is the shape of each pulse of the magnetic field. The PetLoop Pro uses a trapezoidal wave, which climbs fast, holds flat at the top for a moment, and then falls just as fast.

What It’s Like to Own the PetsPEMF PetLoop Pro

Portability

Maximum

Portability is as high as it gets here. The device weighs only 0.2 pounds and it’s quite small. It has a rechargeable battery so you don’t even need to look for a plug. And PetsPEMF also gives you a carry pouch, just in case.

Versatility

Fair

I would have preferred if they managed to create a single device instead of two (Harmony and Recovery). If you want to treat aching joints and promote relaxation, you have to buy both. But at least you get a promo price.

Comfort

High

This isn’t a device you have to lie or sit on, so it’s a bit harder to say if it’s comfortable, especially because not you, but your pet will wear it. From what I can see, pets like it, and you can use it as a collar, which dogs are used to.

PetsPEMF PetLoop Pro Functions and Controls

Unlike the human version of this device (the NeoRhythm), the PetLoop Pro isn’t controlled via a phone app and has no preset programs to pick. There are no settings at all. This makes it very easy to use, but it might feel restrictive for some.

You decide what settings to use when you buy it: the Harmony version has a preinstalled program that runs at 25 Hz fixed frequency, while the Recovery one alternates several healing frequencies (50.6/15.2 Hz and 15.2/40.5 Hz). As you can see in the table below, programs last 2 hours and then the device shuts off. The two devices have different goals and placements.

VersionFrequenciesGoalPlacementBest ForDuration
Harmony25 HzRelaxation, calming, vagus nerve activationNeckAnxiety, thunderstorms, separation, travel, vet visits2 Hours
Recovery50.6/15.2 Hz and 15.2/40.5 HzHealing, pain relief, circulation, tissue repairOver the affected areaArthritis, joint pain, post-surgery, injuries, stiffness2 Hours

The PetLoop Pro has a gesture control feature that makes your life easier: just double-tap to start, and double-tap to stop it. The app is optional and allows you to customize certain settings, such as shortening the program duration or turning off the vibration at the beginning and end of the program.

You can recharge the PetLoop Pro by using this dock or connect the device directly with a micro USB cable. A full charge powers multiple 2-hour sessions.

Is the PetsPEMF PetLoop Pro Worth it?

4.2out of 5

My Final verdict

Yes, it’s worth it. In fact, it’s one of the best devices you can get for PEMF therapy on your dog or cat. It’s light, it runs on a battery and it comes with a carry pouch, so you can take it anywhere. Pets seem to like wearing it, and you can put it on like a collar.
You don’t have to set anything up. You only need the app if you want to change things like the session length or the vibration. What I didn’t like is that each version does only one job: Harmony helps your pet relax, Recovery helps with pain and healing. If your pet needs both, that means two devices. Buying both does get you a discount, though.
It’s quite affordable for what you get, and the warranty is good: 2 years, and you can extend it to 4. If you want to help your pet feel calmer or deal with pain, I’d recommend the PetLoop Pro. Just make sure you get the right version.

Frequently Asked Questions

It compares well, mostly because it’s a different kind of device. Most PEMF products for dogs are pads, mats or beds, and your dog has to lie on them for the whole session. The PetLoop Pro is a small loop that your pet wears, around the neck or over the spot you want to treat. It also runs on a rechargeable battery, so you can use it away from a socket. Inside there are 5 coils, and it reaches 25 Gauss, which is a medium intensity. The weak spot is that each version runs only its own program: 25 Hz for Harmony, and 50.6/15.2 Hz and 15.2/40.5 Hz for Recovery. One device won’t cover both anxiety and joint pain. On my ranking page I weigh up cost, warranty, box contents, features, real world performance and the tech behind each device. If you have made it this far into my PetsPEMF PetLoop Pro review, have a look at my ranking of the best PEMF mats for dogs on sale today.

Yes, as far as I can tell. PetsPEMF is run by MDCN Tech in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It’s the same company behind OmniPEMF and its NeoRhythm, which is the human version of this device. For pets they make three PEMF devices, the PetLoop Pro, the Pad and the RollnRest, so this isn’t their first try. The PetLoop Pro is made in Europe, it carries the CE mark and it meets FCC Part 15. The warranty is 2 years, or 4 if you pay $40 for the extension. You also have 30 days to send it back, but you get a full refund only if it’s unused and unopened. Otherwise you pay a 20% sanitization and restocking fee, so keep that in mind before you order. Read my full PetsPEMF review page for the whole picture, or go straight to their official website.

There’s solid research supporting PEMF for dogs and cats, but results depend on the condition. Some issues show great improvement, though it’s not a cure all. Check out my guide on PEMF for dogs for the science and an easy weekly routine.

It depends on what you need it for. With the PetLoop Pro you make that choice when you buy it, since the frequencies are fixed inside each version. Harmony stays at 25 Hz and goes around the neck. It’s there to calm your pet down, so it’s the one for anxiety, thunderstorms, separation, travel and vet visits. Recovery alternates 50.6/15.2 Hz and 15.2/40.5 Hz, and you strap it over the back, leg or hip, wherever the problem is. Use that one for arthritis, joint pain, injuries, stiffness and recovery after surgery. Either way, you tap it twice and the program runs for 2 hours, then the device turns off by itself. If that’s too long, you can cut it to 30 minutes or 1 hour in the app. For general wellness, PetsPEMF suggests one or two sessions a day. They also say that 30 to 60 minutes a session can be enough, depending on your pet. If you want to know what is going on behind those numbers, my PEMF Frequency Chart explains what each frequency does.
