Welcome to my review of the OmniPEMF NeoRhythm Pad.

Every now and then I come across a device that makes me rethink what I thought I knew about PEMF therapy. The OmniPEMF NeoRhythm Pad is one of those. It does a few things that most brands don’t even try.

25 Gauss of intensity. Frequencies up to 303 Hz. 14 preset programs, from lucid dreaming to vagus nerve stimulation. All of that in a pad that weighs 0.65 pounds and runs 12 hours on a battery, which is more than portable PEMF usually gives you.

So this isn’t just another pad. There’s serious technology in it, and somebody thought about the design. Whether that’s worth your money is what I want to find out.

1-303HzPEMF Frequency Range

The frequency is how many times per second the magnetic field pulses, and it’s measured in hertz. The NeoRhythm Pad goes from 1 to 303 Hz. That’s an extremely wide range, and pretty remarkable for a pad this size, so there’s no treatment or condition you can’t cover with it.

25GaussPEMF Intensity

The intensity is how strong the magnetic field is, and it’s measured in gauss. The NeoRhythm Pad goes up to 25 Gauss. That’s a medium intensity, enough for the field to reach deeper tissue, and still well within what’s considered safe.

5PEMF Coils

A coil is a winding of copper wire inside the pad, and it’s what actually produces the pulsed field when the controller sends current through it. The number of coils is about coverage, not strength: the 5 in this pad don’t make the field any stronger, they spread it more evenly across the surface.

TrapezoidalWaveform

The waveform is the shape the pulse takes over time, and that shape decides how fast the field rises and falls. The NeoRhythm Pad uses a trapezoidal wave, which means a quick rise, a flat top where the field holds, and then a quick fall.

What It’s Like to Own the NeoRhythm Pad

Everything else on this page you can measure. What comes next you can’t, and none of it tells you whether the OmniPEMF NeoRhythm Pad is a good pad. What it might tell you is whether you’ll still be using it a year from now, and that’s the question that matters.

Light and easy to carry with you. And you don’t need a plug, because this device has a battery. The gauge doesn’t reach the maximum just because they don’t give you bag.

How you control it

OmniPEMF TouchPad Controller

The pad also has a touch controller built into it, and a double tap starts or stops a session. The same unit holds the rechargeable battery, charged with the USB cable in the box. A full charge gives you 10 to 12 hours.

OmniPEMF Phone App

You can fully control the NeoRhythm from a smartphone app that pairs with the pad over Bluetooth. That’s where you find the preset programs, and there are plenty of them. There’s also an “Advanced Mode”, which lets you set the intensity, the frequency and the duration of your session yourself.

My FInal verdict

The OmniPEMF NeoRhythm Pad is the one I recommend if you want a high end PEMF pad. It does PEMF and nothing else, but it does it very well. Apart from the Celler8, I don’t think any other pad comes close.
It’s also very versatile. You can use it sitting, lying down, or under your pillow to help you sleep. It charges over USB and the battery lasts a long time, so you can take it with you anywhere. On a plane, in the car, away from an outlet, it doesn’t matter, as long as it’s charged.
The preset programs are the best I’ve seen on any pad, by a good margin. This is the one I’d buy, and it’s generally considered one the best PEMF pads overall.

Frequently Asked Questions

On the PEMF itself, the NeoRhythm Pad comes out ahead of every other pad I’ve reviewed, and only the Celler8 gets close. The frequency goes up to 303 Hz, the intensity up to 25 Gauss, and you get 14 preset programs plus a custom mode in the app. No other pad gives you that much to work with.
Where it loses ground is on everything around the PEMF. There’s no carry bag in the box, which is a pity for a pad you’re supposed to take with you, and the 2 year warranty and 60 day returns are decent, though some brands give you longer. If the accessories or the warranty matter more to you than the technology, it’s worth looking at the others too.

Yes, as far as I can tell OmniPEMF is a reputable wellness company with a good track record, and I’ve had no reason to doubt them so far.
What I look at with any brand is what happens after you’ve paid. Here you get a 2 year warranty and 60 days to return the pad if it’s not for you. The pad is HSA and FSA eligible, there’s a proper manual you can download, and the app gives you full control of the device. None of that makes them special, but it’s what a brand that plans to stay around usually does.

For some things, yes, and the research behind PEMF is real, but how much you get out of it depends a lot on you and on what you’re treating. PEMF sends a pulsed magnetic field through tissue, and that field creates small electrical currents in the cells. That part is well established. The evidence is strongest for bone healing and pain, and it gets thinner as you move away from those.
The problem is the internet, which is full of claims that go way past what any study shows. A pad won’t cure anything, whatever the marketing says. What a good pad can do is help with pain and sleep, if you use it regularly and give it time.

It depends on what you’re treating, and there isn’t one number that works for everything. Low frequencies are generally used for relaxation and sleep, higher ones for pain, energy and focus, but the right setting changes with the condition, and so does the length of the session. Most brands suggest sessions of 20 to 30 minutes, once or twice a day, and that’s a reasonable place to start.
On the NeoRhythm Pad you don’t really have to figure it out yourself. The 14 preset programs are grouped by goal, sleep, focus, relaxation, pain relief, meditation and vagus nerve, and each one runs the frequency and the duration for you. If you’d rather set the values by hand, the Advanced Mode in the app lets you do that.

Yes, and sleep is one of the things this pad is best at. You can put it under your pillow or lie directly on it, and at 0.65 pounds you’ll barely notice it. There are 2 sleep programs, Improve Sleep and Lucid Dreaming, plus a vagus nerve program for sleep and wellbeing, so you don’t have to pick a frequency yourself.
Two things make it work well at night. The battery lasts 10 to 12 hours, so there’s no cable running to the bed. And you can turn the Bluetooth off once the program is running, so there’s no wireless signal going all night.

It can be, and back pain is one of the things it’s made for. You sit or lie with the pad against your back, so the field goes straight into the area that hurts. There’s a Pain Control program for it, and with up to 25 Gauss of intensity it’s strong enough for a deep, targeted session rather than a surface one. At 13 by 17.7 inches it covers the whole lower back, and the 5 coils spread the field over the surface instead of in one spot.
Don’t expect it to fix things in one session. Pain relief with PEMF comes from using it regularly, and it works best alongside whatever else you’re doing for your back, not instead of it.
