Sparkle Company History

Sparkle Mats begins with JP Richards and a hard year. In 2011 a childhood trauma resurfaced, and a Reiki master introduced him to an amethyst BioMat while he was working through it. It helped enough that he trained as a Reiki practitioner himself. In 2019, he says, the idea came to him in meditation: make the same kind of mat for much less money, and add PEMF and red light to it.

He also runs Drake Digital, a marketing agency, and sold an earlier business, Booty Camp Fitness. The mats are made in China and shipped to a US warehouse, and the company gives its address as Cedar City, Utah. The Sparkle trademarks are filed not under a Sparkle company but under MettaMeals.com, Inc., an earlier business of his in plant-based meal planning.

No. Their own legal disclaimer says the FDA has not evaluated anything on the site. The homepage calls Sparkle an FDA-approved manufacturer and a factory that is FDA approved, which is a claim about where the mat is made, not about the mat.

No FDA registration or clearance exists for the Sparkle Mat itself.

JP Richards, the founder, who also runs the Drake Digital marketing agency. The site names no company beyond Sparkle Mats itself.

The three Sparkle trademarks, SPARKLE, SPARKLE MATS and SPARKLE ENERGY, are filed under MettaMeals.com, Inc., an earlier business of his that made plant-based meal planning software.

It publishes a Cedar City address, a phone number and an email, its terms are governed by Utah law, and US import records show the mats arriving from a Chinese manufacturer, Liaoyang Fanocare Science.

What it does not have is any independent review record. No Trustpilot, no BBB, no Google listing. The only rating anywhere is the 5.0 on their own store.

Not the way the homepage makes it sound. The return policy asks you to keep the mat the full 108 days, and then refunds the price minus a restocking fee that depends on its condition: 15% if it looks new, 20% for slight damage, 30% for visible wear, and nothing at all for heavy wear.

The return label is free in the continental US and Canada, and you get one trial per product. Return a Full-Size mat and your next Full-Size order has no trial.

There is nothing independent to read. No Trustpilot, BBB or Google reviews exist for the brand, so there is no record of how it handles problems.

The only reviews are the 509 on their own store, all rated 5.0, on a platform they control.

Direct, if you want the trial. It is also sold on Amazon, and the 5 year warranty covers Amazon purchases, but returns bought through a third party seller follow that seller’s rules.

Their terms also say discount codes from unauthorised sites are void, so use one they have authorised.
