Welcome to my review of the HigherDose PEMF Go Chair Mat. You’ve probably seen HigherDose everywhere. Instagram ads, celebrity endorsements, and the kind of branding that screams “premium lifestyle product.” Their PEMF Go Chair Mat certainly looks the part with its minimalist design and fancy carrying bag.

But strip away the marketing polish and you’re left with some pretty basic specs. The intensity is 0.08 MilliGauss, the frequency range is limited, and the price tag raised my eyebrows. So does this mat live up to the HigherDose reputation, or is it all style over substance?

My FInal verdict

For the price, I expected more from the HigherDose PEMF Go Mat. The warranty is short and the functions are limited, so it’s hard to justify the cost, especially when other mats offer more for less.
On the plus side, it weighs 11 lbs and it goes in its carry bag, so it’s possible to take it with you when you are on the move. You also get 120 days to try it and send it back, which is plenty of time to find out if it’s the right mat for you. And HigherDose regularly runs sitewide promos and bundle deals, which can make it a much better value if you time it right.

PEMF chair mats do work for some health problems, and there is a good amount of science behind PEMF therapy. The results change from one person to the next though. Some conditions respond very well, but the internet is also full of exaggerated claims, so it’s hard to know which is which.
A chair mat works like any other PEMF mat. It’s just smaller, and made to be used while you sit. What you get out of it depends on the condition, on how regularly you use it, and on the intensity and frequency of the mat.

It depends on what you want to treat, because every condition has its own frequency and its own session length.
On this mat, the frequency comes from the 4 preset programs. RESTORE runs at 3 Hz, GROUND at 7.8 Hz, RELAX at 10 Hz and FOCUS at 23 Hz. The first one is there to help you fall asleep and the last one is for when you need to focus. In between, GROUND is tuned to the Earth’s frequency and RELAX is meant for meditation. The duration is something you set from the controller.

The HigherDose PEMF Go Mat can help with osteoporosis, as long as you use it consistently. Bones change slowly, so it takes regular sessions over a long period, and an occasional one won’t do much. It also seems to work better when you combine it with exercise.
