Welcome to my review of the Resona BlueVibe. It’s the newest wearable from Resona Health, and it does something none of their other devices do. Instead of PEMF on its own, you get two therapies running at the same time: PEMF and blue light. Both run at 40Hz. Why 40Hz? It’s the speed of your brain’s gamma waves, the ones active when you focus or remember.

Here’s why that matters. The PEMF and blue light therapy work from both sides, sending soft magnetic pulses through your body. Put them together at the same 40Hz and you’re pushing that rhythm from two directions. No single device has done that before.

It’s also about as simple as a device gets. One unit, worn either on your wrist or around your neck. There’s no app and nothing to install, just one button to press. It’s light, it recharges, and it’s quiet enough to keep on while you work, read or rest. So does the dual frequency idea hold up in practice? Let’s take a look at what it can do.

BlueVibe Specs and Features

Reading the Spec Sheet

40HzPEMF Frequency Range

PEMF frequency is how many times a second the magnetic field pulses, and it’s counted in hertz. The BlueVibe runs at 40Hz, and only at 40Hz. It’s one fixed frequency, picked because it matches the gamma rhythm of the brain.

40HzBlue Light Frequency

The blue light flickers at 40Hz, and your eyes carry that signal to the brain, nudging the gamma rhythms tied to focus and memory.

LowPEMF Intensity

PEMF intensity is the strength of the magnetic field the device puts out, and it’s measured in gauss. The Resona Blue Vibe uses a low intensity to keep it safe and effective.

Resona BlueVibe Functions and Controls

The Resona BlueVibe couldn’t be easier to run. There’s one button. You press it, and it starts.

Two ways to wear it. You can put it on your wrist or around your neck. A session runs for an hour and then it switches itself off, so you can put it on and forget about it. Once a day is fine, or more if you want, whenever it suits you.

One button operation. There’s no app to set up, no account to create, and no phone to pair. No screen either, no settings, and no protocols to scroll through. There’s nothing for you to manage.

Rechargeable battery. The battery is one of my favorite things about the BlueVibe. You charge it the way you charge your phone: plug it into any USB port and you’re done. Once it’s charged you can wear it anywhere. A full charge gives you about 5 hours of use, and getting it back to full takes roughly 2 hours.

Resona BlueVibe Accessories

The Resona BlueVibe comes with a bit more in the box than you’d expect from something this small. You get two watch style wrist bands, a blue one and a white one, so you can pick the one you like or swap them depending on what you’re wearing that day. There’s also a white band for your neck, and that’s the spot a lot of people end up preferring once they’ve tried both.
The one thing I’d have liked to find in the box is a small carry pouch. Nothing fancy, just something to protect it when you throw it in a bag or take it on a trip. Not a big deal, but at this price it would have been a nice touch.

Resona BlueVibe Warranty and Returns

Every BlueVibe comes with a 30 day money back guarantee, so you have a full month to wear it every day and see how you feel before you decide. If it’s not for you, get in touch with Resona and send it back, and they refund you once it gets to them.
You also get a 1 year warranty that covers defects. I’ll be honest, one year is on the short side. It’s common enough at this price, but on something you wear every day I like to see more. It’s not something I’d walk away over, though, with that month long refund window taking the risk off up front.

Warranty

1 Year

The warranty only runs for one year, which feels a bit short next to what many competitors offer. But they make it easy, so unless you have been abusive with the device and damaged it, they’ll accept the request.

Returns

30 Days

The Blue Vibe comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, which is a reasonable window to try the device and decide if it’s right for you. Resona counts those 30 days from the day the device arrives, not from the day you order it.

HSA and FSA

Not Eligible

HSA/FSA payment is not available, so you cannot use your health savings or flexible spending account funds on this product, unfortunately.

Is the Resona BlueVibe Worth it?

3.4out of 5

My FInal verdict

The Resona BlueVibe is something different, and that’s what makes it worth a look. There are plenty of PEMF devices, and blue light therapy is nothing new, but this is the only one I know of that runs both at once, locked to the same 40Hz, so the rhythm reaches the brain from two directions.
What I like most, though, is how simple it is. One button, no app, nothing to fiddle with. Pick your wrist or your neck, switch it on, and get on with your day. It’s light, it’s quiet, and a charge lasts you days.
A 1 year warranty is short for something you wear daily, and there’s no pouch for it. The 30 day refund takes care of most of that risk, though. If you’re curious about 40Hz for the brain, this is the easiest way to try it.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s the only wearable that runs PEMF and blue light at the same time, with both set to 40Hz. Every other wearable I know of does one or the other. A PEMF band gives you the magnetic pulses and nothing else, and a blue light device gives you the light and nothing else. The BlueVibe puts the two in one small unit, so the light gets to the brain through your eyes while the PEMF works through the body, and the brain gets the same 40Hz rhythm from two sides at once. The rest of the design, one button and two ways to wear it, is there so that pairing is easy to use every day.

The BlueVibe is built to support your focus, memory and mood, as part of a daily routine rather than as a one off fix. Most people buy it with focus and memory in mind, so the things you’d be looking for are clearer thinking, better recall, and less of that foggy, scattered feeling that creeps in late in the day. It’s also meant to help with a steadier mood, taking some of the edge off stress and leaving you a bit more settled. Wear it every day and the idea is that your head stays clearer and calmer over time.
Keep in mind it’s a general wellness device, not a cure for anything, and results vary from one person to the next. So the best approach is regular daily use, not expecting a switch to flip overnight.

Yes, Resona Health is a brand you can trust. They are a well established name in the frequency wellness space with a solid track record, and the BlueVibe is the newest of several devices they make rather than a first attempt. Their policies are simple too: you get 30 days to send it back for a refund if it doesn’t suit you, and a 1 year warranty on defects, so you’re not taking much of a gamble. If you want the full picture, have a look at my in depth Resona review, or go straight to their official website.

40Hz is the speed of the gamma waves in your brain, the rhythm that shows up when you concentrate or try to recall something. It’s the frequency MIT researchers studied for its effect on the brain activity linked to memory and clarity. The idea is simple: feed the brain a signal at that speed and you nudge it toward the same rhythm. The BlueVibe is built around that idea, and it delivers it two ways at once, with the blue light flickering at 40Hz, which your eyes carry to the brain, and the PEMF pulsing at 40Hz through your body. Keep in mind that the research is on the frequency itself, not on this particular device.

Wear it on your wrist or at the back of your neck, press the button once, and it runs for an hour, then shuts down on its own. That’s the whole routine, there’s no program to pick. A good starting point is one session a day, and you can wear it more often if you like. A full charge gives you about 5 hours of use, so one charge covers several days of daily sessions, and topping it up from a USB port takes around 2 hours. It’s quiet enough to keep on while you work or read, so you don’t have to set an hour aside for it.

Either on the inside of your wrist or at the base of your neck, and the box has a band for both. Wherever you put it, the device needs to sit against bare skin, because that’s what lets the PEMF and the light do their job. You get two watch style wrist bands, one blue and one white, plus a white neck band. The neck is where a lot of people end up settling once they’ve given both a go. Pick whichever feels more comfortable, or swap between them from one day to the next, since there’s nothing to adjust when you move it.

No to both. There’s no app to download, no account to create and no phone to pair, and there’s no subscription either, so once you’ve paid for the device you’re done paying. There’s no screen and no settings menu on the unit itself, just a single button. You press it, the session starts, and an hour later it stops on its own. The only upkeep is charging it, which you do from any USB port, the same way you charge your phone, and a full charge gives you about 5 hours of use. That simplicity is one of the things I like most about it.

That varies a lot from one person to the next. Some people notice a sense of calm or a clearer head fairly early on, while for others it builds up gradually with regular daily use. This is a wellness device, not a quick fix, so what counts is consistency: one session a day, every day, rather than a long session now and then. Give it a fair run before you make up your mind. The 30 day money back guarantee is there for exactly that, a full month of daily sessions to see what it does for you, and if the answer is nothing, you send it back.

It’s a natural fit. The whole point of the device is to nudge your mind toward a calmer, more focused state, which is exactly where you want to be when you sit down to meditate. Put it on your wrist or your neck, start your session, and let it run quietly in the background while you breathe and settle in. There’s no noise and nothing to look at, so it sits alongside your practice rather than getting in the way. If you want to go deeper on this, I’ve put together a full guide on PEMF for meditation that explains how it works.
