CELLER8 Company History

CELLER8 exists because its founder nearly died. Andy collapsed in A&E on a business trip, and emergency surgery found an infected lump that was days from turning into sepsis. Recovering at home he remembered a German company he had come across, got hold of a PEMF mat, and used it twice a day for 20 minutes. He came off the pain medication and the surgical scars healed.

He then spent the better part of a decade selling other people’s PEMF devices in the UK through his company NewMed, which is the part that matters. He learned what every mat on the market got wrong, and in 2022, after six years of building, CELLER8 launched. It is still a brand of NewMed rather than a company of its own, still run out of the same office in Kent, and the mats are still made in the UK.

No, and there is nothing to look up. CELLER8 holds no FDA registration and no clearance, and I could find no CE, UKCA, FCC or RoHS statement on either of their sites. Their own disclaimer is blunt about it: the products do not claim to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

What they publish instead is engineering. Their FAQ gives slew rate measurements for their mat against two unnamed multi-therapy competitors, 0.08 T/s and 0.04 T/s, and offers to share the full test results on request. That is a more useful thing to argue about than a certificate, but it is their own testing.

So treat the silence carefully. A brand that launched in 2022 at these prices has not yet accumulated the volume of feedback that tells you how it behaves when something goes wrong. The one thing you can check today is stock: at the time of writing, every product on their US site reads out of stock.
