I got my hands on the HealthyLine Platinum PEMF Chair Mat, and my reaction was: wow!
It has 48 preset programs, galvanized gemstones, and two controllers with waveform selection. In this HealthyLine Platinum PEMF Chair Mat review I’m looking at the chair mat with the most features in their lineup. It comes with premium accessories and a 5-year warranty.
HealthyLine really knows how to raise your expectations. The shimmering stones look impressive, the advanced controller feels professional, and there are plenty of preset programs. It’s clearly sold as their luxury model, the one you buy if you are serious about your therapy.
But I couldn’t help wondering if the therapy gets better in proportion to all those premium touches, or if some of it might be style over substance.

1-30HzPEMF Frequency Range
A PEMF field repeats the same cycle over and over, and the frequency is how many times it does that per second, counted in hertz. On the Platinum Chair Mat you can go from 1 to 30 Hz. That’s the normal range for a mat with basic PEMF technology, and it’s enough for most treatments and conditions.
3GaussPEMF Intensity
The intensity tells you how strong the magnetic field of the mat is, and it’s measured in gauss. The Platinum Chair Mat reaches up to 3 Gauss. A low figure like this is very safe, and it works for daily use as well as for treatment.
8PEMF Coils
Coils are the hardware that makes the field: rings of wound copper wire inside the mat, pulsing each time the controller sends them current. This mat has 8, and no other chair-mat has so many, so the field gets spread more evenly across the mat.

How you control it
HealthyLine Advanced Controller
The Advanced Controller is exclusive to the Platinum, and it has the biggest set of features you’ll find. It gives you precise control over PEMF intensity, frequency, waveform type, and pulse duration. You can also set the heat level you prefer, how strong the light therapy is, and how long the session lasts. No other mat in the lineup lets you customize this much.
Basic Controlller
The HealthyLine Platinum Chair Mat also includes a second, simpler LED controller, made for easy use with the default settings. It’s great if you prefer fewer buttons, or if you want an extra controller to keep in another room or to take with you.

Special Functions
WAVEFORM + PULSE
The Platinum controller has some very rare functions. First, you can choose the waveform between sinusoidal and square. Second, you can decide the pulse duration, which is the time the wave stays at its maximum height. You have 3 settings: Medium, Fast and Ultrafast.
Preset programs
There are 12 preset functions on the advanced controller. They are simple to use, and you select them with the F1 to F12 buttons. Every preset has 4 different PEMF programs, labeled A, B, C, and D. Each program lasts 5 minutes and has its own wave type, frequency, pulse duration, and intensity. That makes 48 preset programs ready to use right out of the box. You are free to customize any of them, or to reset everything to the factory settings whenever you want.

My FInal verdict
The Platinum Chair Mat is built to be a premium product, and you’ll notice it in the price tag. It has some flashy features, like the shimmering stones and the galvanized gems. They look gorgeous, but they don’t really add to the therapeutic value of the mat. For me, they don’t quite justify the high cost.
The controls are what I like the most. The two controllers and the preset programs are probably the best you’ll find right now. You can use all 48 presets right out of the box, or customize them. The second controller is there for when you want fewer buttons.
With up to 3 Gauss, the PEMF itself doesn’t quite live up to the luxury status of the mat. If the functions are what you care about most, it’s a compromise you can accept.
